CAS Birthday card

Hello everyone! Here is a real quick CAS birthday card for you today.

Stamp is one of my favorites from The Angel Company set Deco Designs. I stamped it in Palette Jardin Moss twice, I also did the same on the inside of the card.

Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink and also stamped in Palette Jardin Moss.

All green cardstock is from Bazzill. I used my new corner chomper to round off the corners! The embossing folder used on the light green cs is from Sizzix. It goes so well with the stamped image! Lastly, added a small gingham green bow tied with the bow easy!

Thanks for stopping in!

I used the lattice embossing folder on the lime green cardstock, both the pink and green cardstock is from Hot Off The Press. It's out of their 8x8 Retro cardstock collection. Silver Ornaments

Hey everyone! I'm about done with posting Christmas cards! Yea - this is the last one and not one of my favorites either!

I used some of that silver metal tape that is self adhesive which I found in the garage that my DH had. It says Nashua on the inside of the tape roll and I think it's used for taping metal pipes and can be found at Lowes or Home Depot.

Anyway, I used the ornament die from Memory Box to cut out three of them and then ran them through a few embossing folders. Peeled the backing off and stuck them to the swiss dot embossed white cardstock. Added the silver cording for the hangers and the line between it and the sentiment. Sentiment stamp is from Papertrey, ink.

The card base is pinefeather from PTI.

Well, this past week of vacation flew by! Didn't get a lot accomplished either, but isn't that the way it goes? Have a great one and thanks for stopping in!

Country Christmas

Hi everyone! Here is a little card that surely says country to me. I guess it must be the hounds tooth pennant in the back?

or maybe it's the twine or faux stitching...

The little deer stamp is from Savvy Stamps and I inked him up in A*Muse Studio french roast ink. Could not resist using a red stardust pen to give him a red nose! The hounds tooth is a background stamp from Impress and inked up with pure poppy ink from Palette.

Spellbinders deckled nesties used to cut the deer out and the pure poppy layer behind. Kraft cardstock used for the base and dark brown to layer the pennant. I tied some twine around it and then glued on a button to the center of the triple bow which was made with the bow easy. I did the faux stitching with a Sharpie white paint pen.

Winter Sparkles

Hi everyone! I came across a couple of challenges over at SCS and had to play along. It was during last weekends Virtual Stamp Night and the two theme's I did were: sparkles and create a winter wonderland scene. Here's my card.

Stamp is from Memory Box. I created the ground using a dauber, Palette Jardin Moss ink and a piece of paper. The sky is also sponged on with daubers using various Versamagic and Memento inks.

I used a glue pad to get the image sticky and then dusted it with crystal art glitter. I kept the photo a little dark so that you could see the sparkles.

Designer paper in the back ground is from DCWV. I framed the image using black cardstock and then stuck a labels 18 cut out in white behind it to keep things CAS.

I'm off to get my Christmas cards in the mail and start my cookie baking! Thanks for dropping by!

Re-worked Holly

Ok - I had to re-work Holly as it was really bugging me! Since the die cut of holly was pretty stuck, I ended up doing some fussy cutting.

I reused the embossed green and the lime green cardstock but cut it down to size. Satin ribbon started out as white, used the same Copic marker to color it and the pearls that I colored/shaded Holly's dress in.

Sentiment is from TAC and cut out using the smallest circle nesties. It's popped up on the left side with foam tape to level it off. Holly is also popped up using foam tape.

I used the My Favorite Things sketch for this week as inspiration for changing this up! Much better - don't ya think?

Holly

Hi everyone! I've been messing around with this card for a few days and still I'm not sure if I'm happy with it or not.

The fairy is a digital stamp from Bugaboo and colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen and a stardust pen.

I used some golden colored vellum and put it behind a piece of printer paper and cut out the scalloped circle to go around the main image. I struggled finding a color that went with the colors I used on her to layer with and this is the best I came up with.

The holly around her is a die from Memory Box that I cut up and glued down. Added some berries with liquid pearls. Not sure if I like this addition or not, but it's glued down now so I'm stuck with it.

Holly embossing folder is from Provo Craft and I love that it's a 5x7 folder!

So, give me some feedback on this one! I would appreciate suggestions at this point!

Trying to stay warm

Hi everyone! It's sure been cold here - we've had 9 consecutive days that have been colder than normal, with a high of 41 degrees and no rain! But wow, it's sure been foggy in the mornings. So to warm up, I stamped up a pair of mittens.

Stamps are from Papertrey, Ink and stamped in Memento ink. Mittens colored with B93, 95 and 97 plus G21 Copic markers.

The snowflakes were stamped in Versamark ink then dusted with perfect pearls. Die is from PTI and so is the blueberry cardstock. The green cardstock is from Hot Off The Press.

A stardust pen was used to highlight the snowflakes on the mittens.

Thanks for stopping by!

Snowflake Tag

Hi all - I played around a bit yesterday with TH day 4 tag inspiration and came up with this.

Distress stains in faded jeans and picket fence used to color the tag.

Snowflake stamps are from Stampers Anonymous (TH) and the sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. Both of them are stamped in A*Muse Studio Navy ink. The swirl stamp is from Inkadinkado and stamped in fresh snow ink. The ice crystals on the snow flakes are Epsom salts. I just used spray adhesive and rolled/laid them in the stuff. Big snowflake die is from Provo Craft.

A memo pin is used on the smaller snowflake. I just hot glued it to the back and then tucked it into the burlap/ribbon tie. Ribbon is enchanted evening grosgrain from PTI. I had a lot of fun making this one!

Have a great day!

Jolly

Hi everyone. I had some spare time yesterday and got to play around and do some coloring on a few Christmas cards. Here's one that I used for the inspiration challenge over at SCS.

The challenge was to be inspired by a Chris Radko Christmas ornament and create a card around it.

I bought this stamp from Make it Crafty last year and every time I look at him I just smile. Here are all the colors of Copic markers that I used to color him up.

Once done coloring, I used the label 17 die from Spellbinders to cut it out and to create the black layer behind, which is hand cut.

Black satin ribbon used to create the double bow with an assist from the Bow Easy. Pure Poppy, black and white cardstock are all from Papertrey, Ink.

Thanks for stopping in.

Inspired tag

Hello everyone! If you're not following Tim Hotlz and his 12 days of Christmas tags, I would recommend that you do. Great inspiration!

Here's my first tag.

I started off with a regular tag and added the music designer paper to it from Creative Imaginations. Then I got to distressing it with antique linen and vintage photo distress inks.

Poinsettia is die cut from dark red cardstock from HOTP using the spellbinders die. Black soot used to distress the outside edges which is hard to see in the photo. Yellow self adhesive pearls from Kaisercraft used for the center.

I stamped the ticket (stampers anonymous TH) onto a thin piece of chipboard with archival jet black ink and the cut it out. I used picket fence and antique line distress stains and then added some vintage photo and black soot to the outside edges. Both the ticket and the poinsettia are popped up with foam tape.

A length of burlap was cut, frayed and inserted through the tag and then the plaid ribbon was tied on top and into a bow.

Would really appreciate some feedback on this one! Have a great day!
