CAS anniversary card

Hi everyone! Can you believe it's March already? I'm showcasing another CTMH stamp today with a CAS layout.

This one is from the Card word puzzle set. Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

I colored the flower using R83, 85 and 89 Copic's. I used a circle nestie to cut it out and then popped it up with foam tape onto the doily, which is a PTI die.

Memory box border die used on the hot pink cardstock from Hot Off The Press. Lastly, I added some white satin ribbon for some bling!

Doggone good day

Hi everyone! I was looking around at the CTMH web site recently and this guy jumped into my cart! He was panting, yipping and jumping all around because he was so excited to be shipped off to me! (giggle)

I used Prisma Color pencils and blended with OMS to create this darling dog! I haven't used this coloring technique in a while and it was fun to play around with it again!

Gingham designer paper is from A*Muse and cut using the fish tail dies from My Favorite Things. I stamped the sentiment and then used a smaller die to cut that out.

I cut the bow out of red cardstock to match his collar! Die is also from MFT. Black and white cardstock is from PTI.

What do you think  - doesn't this make a great masculine birthday card?

Under the weather?

Hi everyone! The last two days the weather here in Washington State has been kind of blustery. Usually, we just get gray skies and a drizzle. Yesterday is was very windy and heavy rain. Ugly! So, with that in mind I thought I'd share this get well card.

The rain is a new stamp from Penny Black. The sentiment is from PTI. I cut a bunch of clouds using the two sizes of cloud dies from PTI out of gray cardstock. I used foam tape and popped a few of them up to give it a 3D effect.

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Big Birthday wishes

Hi everyone! I had a bit of time this evening so I made this CAS card based upon this sketch over at Freshly Made sketches.

I turned it around to be different.

Sentiment stamp is from Papertrey, Ink. I stamped it in Archival jet black ink onto the top note die that I cut out of white cardstock. I hand traced and free cut the black layer behind it...don't look too close! ;-)

Added a big of gingham ribbon and black self adhesive pearls from Kaisercraft.

This CAS card was a bear to get done! I wasn't having a bit of luck in that free hand fussy cutting on that black layer. I think I ended up doing it three times before I was satisfied.

Well, it finally got done! Thanks for stopping by!

So happy for you

Hi everyone! I got an early start to playing around with this weeks Mojo Monday sketch!

Here is the sketch!

This is what I ended up doing with it.

Designer paper is from Memory Box and layered with Dark Chocolate cardstock. I stamped the Verve sentiment in first black, but I didn't like it all that much. Played around a bit and finally ended up using walnut stain distress ink. The picture appears a bit fuzzy or I seriously need to clean my glasses!

Blush pearls are from Kaisercraft. I took some white seam binding and colored it with spun sugar distress dye to match the paper. Bow is tied using the bow easy.

What do you think? Thanks for stopping by!

A brief message

Hi everyone! I was playing around with the faux silk technique and came up with this.

Tissue paper was crumbled up and added to a piece of cardstock using regular Elmer's glue. I then took distress dyes and painted them on to get the effect. Let's see, I think I started off with scattered straw, then added vintage photo, etc.

Stamps are from A*Muse Studio and are retiring soon. I colored the brief case with Copic's and used a square nestie to cut it out. MFT fishtail die used to cut out the sentiment. Brown, black and white cardstock is from PTI.

Didn't this turn out to be a great masculine card?

Just bee-cuze

Hi everyone! I been seeing the honeycomb embossing folders all over the place lately and decided to get one myself. I actually have two now!

This embossing folder is from Lifestyle Crafts.

Stamps are from The Angel Company and colored with Copic's. I did add a bit of bling to the wings using a stardust glitter pen.  A Rectangle nestie was used to cut it out. Light yellow card stock is from Bazzill.

I had the yellow organdy ribbon in my stash forever and finally put it to good use. Bow easy used to tie the bow.

You are loved!

Hello everyone! Happy Valentines Day! Here's a CAS card I made for my honey!

The heart stamp is from the dollar bin at Michael's and stamped with MFT Colorbox Wild Chery ink. I love their new inks, they give such wonderful coverage.

Gingham designer paper is from A*Muse, I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and then cut it out using the fishtail die from MFT. Added a bright red button from American Crafts and tied it with some black scrappers floss.

White, black and pure poppy cardstock is from Papertrey, Ink.

I hope you all have a sweet Valentines Day and don't eat all your Chocolate in one sitting! ;-) Thanks for stopping by!

Sending hugs

Hi everyone! I saw this sketch come across from PTI and I really liked how it could be used to create some clean and simple cards. Here's the sketch.

This is what I did with it!

The sentiment is from the Friend to the end set from Papertrek, Ink. I also used Hibiscus Burst and stampers select white cardstock from PTI on this.  Pink gingham designer paper is from A*Muse. Green cardstock is from Bazzill.

Martha Stewart's leaf punch used to cut out the leaf behind the flower. The flower is something I just picked up from Ribbons and Bows Oh My! Isn't it the cutest thing? My Favorite Things fishtail dies used to cut out the green and pink cs.

There are a couple more sketches that are calling my name on Nicole's blog, might want to check them out for some CAS inspiration!

Flowers of today

Hi everyone! I decided to give this weeks Mojo Monday sketch a try.

Sentiment is from Verve and cut out using an oval nestie.  I used PTI stampers white cardstock to emboss the lattice. Like using it because it gives a deep embossing effect.

The dot designer paper is from Lasting Impressions and the lime green came out of my stash and matched the color of the dots, so I went with it! I layered the lime green panels in black cardstock to really make it pop!

Ok, for the flower...I used a few different things to create it. The green petals came from Oriental Trading Co. I cut the white one from the TH tattered petals die, the yellow is cut from a MFT die and finally I added a black pearl for the center. whew! Did you get all that?

Thinking of you!

Hi everyone! Here's a CAS card for the Freshly Made Sketch challenge this week. Here is the sketch.
Here is what I did with it!

Stamps are from Verve. I used Memento markers in Bamboo Leaves and Rose Bud to color the stamp and then huffed to get a good impression. Summer sky is sponged around it after cutting it out using a die from My favorite Things.

Pink gingham paper is from A*Muse and the pink paper is out of my scrap stash. Kaisercraft pearls used to highlight the centers of the flowers and pink ones for the left hand side.

Thanks for stopping by!

Yin Yang challenge

Hello all! I got a chance to play around with the new Mix-Ability challenge over on SCS.  It's all about mixing media's. Here's the card I made my mixing some Gesso (matt) with some gloss (shiny heat embossing).

I used a piece of SU dictionary designer paper and brushed Gesso over it to create the soft diluted appearance. I stamped the lilac onto it once it was dry and then heat embossed it using clear embossing powder.

Wild Wasabi and Lovely Lilac inks were used to watercolor the image. The satin ribbon was colored with a Copic marker and tied using the Bow Easy. Spellbinder label die used to cut out the layers. The lilac stamp is from Great Impressions and the sentiment is from PTI.

I really like how the Gesso made the dp softer. Definitely going to be using this medium again! What do you think?

Get well soon

Hi everyone!  Since I'm not watching the big game or the commerical's I had some time on my hands to play with this weeks sketch over at SCS.

As you can see, I turned the sketch on it's side and then left off the grads/pearls on the left hand side.

Stamps are from Raisin Boat. I stamped the chicken in the pot in Memento ink then colored with Copic's.  I played around a bit with the outline coloring and finally think I got it looking half way decent. Chicken wire is stamped in silver ink from Colorbox and then die cut using the fish tails dies from MFT.

Gingham designer paper is from Making Memories and layered with dark navy card stock from Bazzill. Silver ribbon used on side to go with the chicken wire.

Thanks for stopping in!

More blue

Hi everyone! I must be into the color blue these days - which is a departure from my old stand by color of green. =)  I liked the sketch over at Freshly Made and used it for this card.

Stamps are from Verve. The bird is colored using Copic's, cut out using a circle nestie and then popped up using foam tape. The doily die is from Memory Box.

Tag is cut from a die from Lifestyle Crafts and then stamped with a linen back ground stamp with light blue ink. I then sponged on some Weathered Wood distress ink around the outside. Blue cardstock is blueberry sky from PTI.

Designer paper is from Authentique and is distressed around the edges using Weathered Wood. The banner die is from MFT and bent so that the sentiment sticks up. Light blue rhinestones are from Kasiercraft.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Superbowl weekend! I'll be in my craft room all day!
