Warm winter wishes

Hi everyone! Today has been nasty weather wise and it gave me a chance to stamp the day away! I just got my new PTI stamps in the mail and played to my hearts content.

These stamps are from the set called two feet deep. Sled is stamped in Sepia Archival ink and the rails as well as the sentiment are done in black.

The snowflakes in the back ground are stamped using The stamps of life white ink. That's a new snowflake die from PTI -  love it! This one is the middle sized one and I tucked it behind the sled. I also stamped a few snowflakes from the set on the inside of the card.

All cardstock is from Papertrey, Ink.

Thanks for stopping in!

The card ended up being 4.5 x 4.5. This one went together very quickly!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Thanks sew much

Hi everyone! I made this card up a while ago and just realized that I never posted it!

The dress form stamp and sentiment are from The Angel Company. I stamped the form in Versafine and the heat embossed it using clear embossing powder.

The oval embossing folder and punch is from Stampin Up! The black satin ribbon is from RABOM and the bow is tied using the Bow Easy. Cream and kraft cardstock is from PTI.

Looking at this now, I think I should've layered the dress form panel with black. What do you think?

Thanks for popping in and have a wonderful day!

Papertrey September Blog Hop Challenge - Wreaths x2

Hi everyone! I had a little time and decided to make a card for this month's PTI blog hop, wreaths. In fact, I made two! Had a bit of inspiration on the first card below.

I used one of the new Poppy stamps die to create the wreath. I first cut a circle inside a circle with a circle nestie and then cut the leaves off and glued them onto the circle. I added a few pieces of foam tape on the back to give it a bit of dimension. The berries are made with a hole punch. I colored a length of white satin mini ribbon with a Copic red marker for the bow. Added the sentiment from PTI and then popped it up on a rustic cream card base.

This second card was actually the first one I made, but thought it was a little too blah!

I used the Wreath for all season stamp set from PTI and stamped the grape vine wreath and the sentiment in Versafine Vintage Sepia ink. The berries were added by hand using the fired brick distress marker.

Lastly, I added a few lines of embossing along the perimeter and then popped it onto a brown card base. Definitely clean and simple!

Which one do you like best?

Wedding card

Hi everyone! Here's a recent card I did for a friend who just got married. It sort of follows the something old, something blue theme.

The sentiment panel is done using an old page from a book. I covered it with gesso and then used a die from PTI to cut it out. Flower stamp is from CTMH and colored with Copic markers.

Designer paper is from Making Memories. Flower is from OTC and I used the leaf die from Memory Box to go with the flower in the back ground. The double strand of pearls came from Michael's, which I've been hoarding for a bit.

Fall leaves

Hi everyone! Here's my take on two challenges this week. Freshly Made Sketches #104 and CAS-ual Friday's fall colors and a leaf!

The leaves were stamped onto water color paper and then colored with gelato's. I decided to do a bit of fussy cutting and then popped them up using dimensional foam tape. The leaf stamps are from TAC.

Leaf designer paper is from Debbie Mumm and layered with cardstock from PTI. The fishtail banner is embossed with a folder from Life Style crafts. I wanted a bit of texture on the banner and this worked out well.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

caught a bug?

Hi everyone! Here's a CAS get well card for you today!

Stamps are from Lawn Fawn. I colored the little bug with a red Copic marker. I dusted off my square nesties to cut it out along with the black and white gingham designer paper.

Red organdy ribbon is tied onto the layers once I punched out the hole. The card measures 4 x 4.

Have a great weekend - it's supposed to be raining all weekend here, so it'll be a perfect to spend some time in the craft room!

Rustic

Hi all! I went a little rustic with this card today. I had a lot of fun working in three different challenges too!

Rustic cream cardstock from Papertrey, Ink used for the card base and for the main panel.

The tree stamp is from Poppy Stamps new release. I stamped it in Versavine and the heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The sentiment is from The Stamps of Life. I used Palette Jardin Moss and a dauber to create the hills/ground cover. I just tore a piece of printer paper to use for a mask.

Green plaid designer paper is from Provo Craft and the dark green cardstock is from Bazzill. I added a bit of hemp twine between the dp and the stamped image. Black buttons are from American Crafts. I also popped up the scene with foam tape for some dimension.

This card is for the following challenges:
Freshly Made Sketches #103
Simon Says Stamp - emboss it
CAS.ology - Silhouette

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Birthday balloons

Hi everyone! I got this set from Papertrey, Ink a while ago but never really played with it until last weekend. This is what I came up with.

The balloons are stamped in Fresh Ink from Impress Rubber Stamps. I used the die that coordinates with the set to cut them out.

I colored white scrappers floss to coordinate with the ink colors and glued them onto the backs of the balloons. I decided to tie them together with bow. The pink balloon is popped up with foam tape for a bit of dimension.

Back ground leaf stamps are from Verve. I stamped them in Pistachio Memories chalk ink.

Green cardstock is from Bazzill and the green houndstooth is from Making Memories. MFT fishtail die used to create the sentiment panel.

Gelatos

Greetings everyone! I've been playing around with gelatos and this is my first attempt at using them for back ground color.

I used two different shades of yellow and randomly placed them on some rustic cream cardstock. I used my finger to blend them together a bit and then finished blending with a baby wipe. I think I blended just a bit too much since in now appears to be all the same color yellow! Ack! Well, live and learn.

Stamps are from Verve and the black crinkle ribbon was purchased from Ribbons and Bow's Oh My.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping in!

Anniversary

Hi everyone! Today is my 27 year wedding anniversary! OMG - where does the time go? I gave my DH a card that I previously did a blog post on, so I'm showing this one instead.

Obviously, because he rocks!

Die and stamp are from Simon Says Stamp. Green cardstock is from Bazzill and the white and black cardstock is from PTI.

The white and the main panel are popped up using foam tape, which really gives this a 3D effect. Love it!

We are camping in the woods right now, so we'll have to wait to celebrate with a wonderful dinner when we get back!

Wishing you all the best

Greetings all! I made this card a while ago and it's been sitting in my "to post" folder. Thought it was about time I showed it.

Flower stamps are from Papertrey, Ink and I colored just the center with Copic's. Sentiment is from Purple Onion stamps. I really love the font they used on it, looks just like someone's great handwriting.

Kraft cardstock and designer paper is also from PTI. Added a bit of twine on the right side for some interest and done! The sentiment panel is popped up with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by!

subtle yellow flowers

Hi everyone! I picked up a new solid flower stamp at Impress Rubber Stamps a while ago and this is the result of me playing around with it.

Sketch is from The Deconstructed sketch #113.

The yellow designer paper is from Making Memories and the black is from Hot Off The Press. Used the Swiss dot embossing folder on the white and layered the main panel with lime green from Bazzill.

Sentiment is from Verve and the yellow border is cut with a die from Memory Box. Black button is from American Crafts.

This was a really fun sketch to work with! Thanks for stopping by!
