The House That Stamps Built - Anything goes challenge

Hi all. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This time it's Anything goes. Here's what I did with it.

You can find both of these stamps over at Repeat Impressions.

I added some glossy accents to the eyes and colored the tongue with Copic's.  Popped up the panel using foam tape onto a white card base and called it done. Super easy clean and simple card.

So what are you waiting for?! Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!

Don’t forget… Take part in one weekly challenge or all of them. The more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission using a Repeat Impressions stamp will earn you an additional entry in the drawing!

Banner birthday

Hi everyone. Here's a quick card that I put together for two challenges today.  The Less is More challenge is to use a sticker, sticky label or peel off and I paired it with the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge.

I don't like the way the light hit the top ladybug sticker on the top left, the stickers are clear but it reflected the light. The stickers are really really old and from Provo Craft. As you can see, the bigger butterfly and the smaller one blend right into the card base. In real life it works.

I dug out my old Karen Foster snap stamps to stamp the happy across the banner and the birthday sentiment below.

OK, that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by.

Howling

Hello.  Here is my entry into Darnell's NBUS challenge. There are several items included on this card that I have had for a long time and never used, but the main image is brand new.

The howling dog is from Gerta Steiner Designs, as is the inside sentiment. She is colored with Copic's. I added some white enamel dots on her collar to go with the designer paper, which is from Papertrey, Ink that I've had awhile but never used.

Birthday sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly that I have had for a long time but never used.

I did add some texture to the dog using a cut up wash cloth and rubbing alcohol. In real life it's pretty cool.

Don't you just love the howling to youuuuu!!! sentiment on the inside? My co-worker who is a dog lover will get a kick out of this card.

That's it for now. Thanks for stopping by.

Just for you

Hi everyone! Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

Flower stamp is from the former There She Goes stamp company. I stamped it in Versafine ink then heat embossed it so that I could do a bit of water coloring with my Zig markers.

Designer paper is from My Favorite Things and the sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.

I haven't used my oval nestabilities in so long - fun to dig them out and play around again.

That's it for now. Thanks for stopping by.

The House That Stamps Built - Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone, it's time for a new sketch challenge over at The House That Stamps Built.

Here is the sketch.

I used the You cling set which can be found here to create this card.

I got a little creative and did a bit of searching on the internet for some sheet music. I don't have any designer paper of that sort (gasp) in my stash. I know, strange huh? Anyways, came across a site that had some I could print for free. Bonus and the sheet music is the theme from Downton Abbey. Sure do miss that show.

Live like it's summer

Hello everyone. Here is my take on pairing up two challenges today.

Less is More theme this week is Exotic and The Paper Players wanted something sweet.

Exotic sweet tropical drinks paired with some jungle leaves - I think that covers it.

Jungle leaf dies are from My Favorite Things.

Drink glass are from the former There She Goes stamps. Colored with Copic's,

Sentiment - Paper Smooches.

Our weather lately has been hot as the jungle, but today we get a breather! Then back up in the high 90's for the rest of the week. Summer came very slow to the Pacific Northwest this year, but it here now! Whew!

Just because

Hello. Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

Flower stamp is the new Greenhouse Society stamp from Technique Tuesday. I also got the die that is sold separately so that I could cut it out.

I decided to color the mums in fall colors to be different. Used R36, R59, R89 and G21 and G24.

Designer paper is from the Gossamer paper pack from Memory Box that I've been hoarding.

Just because sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.

Thanks for stopping in and have a great weekend.
