Anything goes challenge

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged with Anything goes, which is always a popular challenge.

#3701-M used to create this weeks anything goes challenge. It's so close to the 4th that I just went patriotic. Used Hero Arts cube inks in Navy and Strawberry. They are just small enough to ink up the stars and stripes (words) separately.

I cut strips of red cardstock and stuck them onto a navy panel and adhered that o a white card base. I used a die to cut out the stars and then doubled up on the foam tape to make them really pop.

Adding this into the Simon Say Stamp Anything goes challenge too!

So, what are you waiting for?!

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Don’t forget… Take part in one weekly challenge or all of them. The more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission using a
Repeat Impressions stamp will earn you an additional entry in the drawing!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

White on white thanks

Hi everyone. Created this for the white on white challenge going on over at Addicted to CAS.

Embossed the top portion of the card with the lattice embossing folder. Added the white satin ribbon to define the two sides and hide the seam. Die cut three thanks (from Impression Obsession) and stacked them up so that they stand out. The sentiment on the bottom half is from Pretty Pink Posh.

Thanks for stopping by.

We're mermaid for each other

Hi all. Playing around with the sketch over at Less is More today. This is what I came up with.

Stamps are from My Favorite Things. I cut the mermaid out with my Brother Scan N Cut. The sentiment is bent to work with the curved edge. The edge dies are from Spellbinders.

I created the middle part using Oxide distress inks and then spritzing it with water.  Mermaid is colored with Copic's and then I added some shimmer to her fins using the clear spectrum sparkle pen.

That is for now, thanks for stopping by.

Stay cool

Hello. Decided to play around a bit with the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop challenge.
The sentiment is pretty accurate right now in most of the US with this heat wave we're having!

I used a lot of different companies products to create this card.

Coffee cup die is from Paper Smooches. Sentiment and tropical foliage is from My Favorite Things.

I used a sponge and the butter ink pad from Lawn Fawn to create the halo around the coffee cup. Icut the cup three times and layered them one on top the other to create some dimension. The flower is crape paper, which I thought went well with the "summer" theme.

Off to get some more drugs in me - I some how caught a summer cold. Hope it's short lived. Thanks for stopping in.

Inspiration palette challenge

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the following Inspiration palette to create with.

I went with the colors and the beach theme.

Ranger distress inks used to create the scene. Added in a few clouds using a stencil. I also used the stamp #4522 -G calm water to create the waves and added some Copic opaque white paint for dimension. #2407-G Life's a Beach is stamped in Versafine, cut out using a banner die and stuck on a tooth pick to resemble a flag.

Toucan do it!

Hello. Sorry for being MIA for the last week. I've been down in San Diego on business, but I'm back now and creating again.

Here is something for the CAS feathered friends challenge over at The Paper Players.

Stamps are from Your Next Stamp. I stamped the toucan in Versafine onto some Neenah solar white, heat embossed him in clear and then colored with Copic's.

I used a dark gray cardstock as the base for the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Tic-Tac-Toe challenge

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to follow the tic tac toe board. Here is what I did with it.

I used the paw print stamp from RI to make that button. I just stamped it, glued the clear button over the top of it using glossy accents and then trimmed it out once dry.

Embossing folder is from Darice. Copic's used to color that sweet little dog!

Thanks a bunch!

Hello. Playing in the Less is More one layer sweet things challenge today.

Stamps are from Sunny Studio.

I stamped the cherries in Lawn Fawn's jet black ink so that I could color with Copic's. I just got the new fine nibs for my sketch markers and they work wonderfully!  Highly recommend.

Used a white gel pen to add some highlights on the cherries.

Masculine birthday card - brassy gears

Hi all. Decided to play around a bit with this weeks Freshly Made Sketch. I mean, I really played around with the back ground on this one.

I took a piece of black cardstock and added layer after layer of metallic paint, alcohol inks, crackle paint, distress inks, etc. to create this. It turned out pretty cool in real life.  Lots of texture and a dull masculine shine (oxymoron used there).

Sentiment is heat embossed with gold embossing powder from Hero Arts.

Thanks for stopping by.

Tools

Hello. Playing in a few challenges today.  I used the sketch from TGIF challenges and made is masculine for the challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.

Stamps and dies are from Taylored expressions except for the word "Husband" which is from a Papertrey, Ink set.

Used some shiny silver cardstock from my stash on the tools. The nail heads on the ends of the sentiment panel are from Prima. I've had them in my stash forever, so it was good to use them on this.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by.

Use your Washi tape challenge

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week it is Donna's Designer Choice and she wants us to use some Washi tape. Here is what I did....

I used this fabulous Washi tape with floral with gold accents behind the die cut out words and number. The "Everything" is from Repeat Impressions, stamped in versamark and then heat embossed in gold to match the Washi.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Pink rose

Hello. Playing in two challenges today.

The Paper Players theme challenge this week is Birthday and CAS-ual Fridays wants to see some patterned papers. This is what came up with by combining those two challenges.

I have forgotten who makes this rose stamp, and it's one of my favorites, too. I stamped it in versafine ink, then heat embossed it with clear powder so that I could color it with Copic's.

Sentiment is from Avery Elle. Gingham paper is from A*muse Studio.  Added some tiny black self adhesive pearls from Kaisercraft for a bit more interest on the card.

That it for now, thanks for stopping by.

ETA: Adding this into Simon Says Stamp anything goes challenge too.

Sticky Note

Hi everyone.  My mojo has been missing these last few days. Everything that I've tried to make went into the trash. Here is a fun shaker card that actually came together, after several tries.

Isn't this frog super cute? It's from Your Next Stamp. I stamped it in Versafine, heat embossed it and then colored with Copic's. He is glued to the front of the acetate so that the beads and glitter float behind him. Which makes the sentiment (came with the stamp set) fun.

Adding this to the Inkspirational designers choice challenge of windows.

Thanks for stopping by.
